Alteraciones como el sobrepeso, la obesidad, la ganancia inadecuada de peso durante la gestaci\u00f3n y el acceso limitado a alimentos nutritivos pueden influir en el peso al nacer y en la salud del reci\u00e9n nacido.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Objetivo: <\/em><\/strong>Determinar la relaci\u00f3n entre el estado nutricional y el acceso a los alimentos de las madres pu\u00e9rperas con reci\u00e9n nacidos prematuros internados en el Hospital de la Mujer que acuden al Banco de Leche Materna de la ciudad de La Paz, Bolivia, durante la gesti\u00f3n 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Material y m\u00e9todos: <\/em><\/strong>Se realiz\u00f3 un estudio observacional, anal\u00edtico y de corte transversal. La poblaci\u00f3n estuvo constituida por 35 madres pu\u00e9rperas con reci\u00e9n nacidos prematuros atendidas en el consultorio de lactancia materna del Banco de Leche Humana del Hospital de la Mujer. Se evalu\u00f3 el estado nutricional mediante \u00edndice de masa corporal (IMC) y el acceso a los alimentos mediante encuesta estructurada. Para el an\u00e1lisis de asociaci\u00f3n se utiliz\u00f3 la prueba exacta de Fisher, con un nivel de significancia de 0,05.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Resultados: <\/em><\/strong>La edad media de las participantes fue de 28 a\u00f1os. Predomin\u00f3 la uni\u00f3n libre (57,1 %) y el nivel educativo secundario (51,4 %). El estado nutricional evidenci\u00f3 alta prevalencia de sobrepeso y obesidad grado I (28,6 % cada uno), mientras que el 22,9 % present\u00f3 estado nutricional normal. La feria fue el principal lugar de compra de alimentos (45,7 %), seguida del mercado (25,7 %). El 37,1 % report\u00f3 producci\u00f3n propia de alimentos como principal forma de acceso f\u00edsico. La mayor\u00eda destinaba entre 800 y 1200 bolivianos mensuales a la alimentaci\u00f3n (42,9 %). No se encontr\u00f3 asociaci\u00f3n significativa entre el estado nutricional y el acceso econ\u00f3mico o f\u00edsico a los alimentos (p &gt; 0,05).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Conclusiones: <\/em><\/strong>Se observ\u00f3 una elevada prevalencia de exceso de peso en las madres pu\u00e9rperas. Conditions such as overweight, obesity, inadequate gestational weight gain, and limited access to nutritious foods can adversely affect birth weight and newborn health. These factors have been associated with an increased risk of complications during pregnancy and unfavorable neonatal outcomes, highlighting the importance of adequate maternal nutrition throughout pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Objective: <\/em><\/strong>To determine the relationship between nutritional status and food access among postpartum mothers with premature newborns admitted to the Women\u2019s Hospital attending the Human Milk Bank in La Paz, Bolivia, during 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Material and methods: <\/em><\/strong>An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted with 35 postpartum mothers. Nutritional status was assessed using body mass index (BMI), and food access was evaluated through a structured questionnaire. Fisher\u2019s exact test was applied with a significance level of 0.05.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Results: <\/em><\/strong>The mean age was 28 years. Common-law marriage was predominant (57.1%), and secondary education was the most frequent level (51.4%). Overweight and grade I obesity were the most prevalent nutritional conditions (28.6% each), while 22.9% had normal BMI. Food acquisition was mainly through farmers\u2019 markets (45.7%). No statistically significant association was found between nutritional status and food access (p &gt; 0.05).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.8; margin-bottom: 18px; color: #333;\"><strong><em>Conclusions: <\/em><\/strong>A high prevalence of overweight and obesity was observed among postpartum women.
